Windows 10 is going to automatically download over windows 7 or 8 whether you want it or not. I'm not sure if this is true, I see Yahoo accuracy as slightly above Wikipedia, but if it is I'm thinking there's going to be a huge outrage from microsoft users. I know have to check if i'm eligible for a free upgrade to know if I need to prevent this from happening on my windows 7.

If you turn off automatically installing Recommended Updates, it will not happen. It's not a true force they're just making it a recommended update.

I heard this from a friend who's pretty into things.

I always have windows update set to "do not download or install unless specifically requested," so nothing gets fucked up without me manually clicking on it.

Windows 95 would be an upgrade to windows 8. I just don't get why they insist on the mobile compatible OS. It's fine for mobile devices that don't have mouse and keyboard, but when we have the convenience of mouse and keyboard let us use an OS that will take advantage of that.

I tried to download windows 10 to my laptop (secondary computer unit for me). Fails after a 29 KB download. I'll believe this when I see it.
