Know what grinds my gears? People that go "I'm a safe distracted driver" or "I can multi-task fine in the car".
That's exactly the wrong attitude to take. ..."

I 100% agree with you. Sorry to hear about your friend, it is terrible.
On the same note, just add the people who think they are the greatest drivers in the world to the list of things.
One of my good friends thinks he's the best driver, and I won't get in the car with him. His attitude makes him all the more dangerous on the road, and his pride makes him blind to the mistakes he makes.
People: you don't need to be "the best driver," just be an alert, careful driver.

That's exactly the wrong attitude to take. I'd have less of an issue with it if the risk of distracted driving was entirely your own. However, you are ALSO risking other people's lives, which are not yours to risk in the first place. Put down the F*cking phone/sandwich/donut/coffee/whatever.

I knew someone first-hand (pedestrian) who was KILLED by the one and ONLY car on the road because he was briefly distracted and changed lanes. Oh, and the pedestrian was finished crossing and had one foot on the sidewalk on the other side.

So, without any of that "I'm a safe distracted driver/it'll never happen to me" B.S., ask yourself this: "can you live with knowing your actions killed someone, and devastated their family?"

^^This is why I pitch my phone into the back seat, even though I have a stereo equipped with bluetooth!

Ya know what really grinds my gears?? MINECRAFT!! It burns through so much of your time!! OMG!!!

You know what grinds my gears? People who don't shovel the snow on the sidewalks in front of their homes. Fuck those people. It's pretty simple, and it takes like 10 minutes. "But it's government property." I don't give a fuck, shovel it anyway. "But the bobcats do it for me". Fuck you, you damn well know those only come at night because they're too busy clearing the snow on the sidewalks of the major streets. Get off your ass and shovel it anyway. "But I don't even shovel my own driveway." Again, I don't give a fuck. Good for you, don't shovel your driveway. If you shovel anything at all, it is the sidewalk.

The only excuse for not shoveling the snow on the sidewalk is if you''re too old to shovel snow. Unless you never shoveled the snow on your sidewalk when you were young. Then fuck you anyway, I hope you slip/trip on the snow/ice of some douchebag who didn't shovel the goddamn snow on the goddamn sidewalk.

People mocking MLG and say it takes the "fun" out of the game. It isn't your "cup of tea", go and play what you prefer. God damn. To me, MLG is entertaining to watch because it pits a bunch of players 10x better than me against each other and I get to see great gameplay.

Maybe people just hate seeing someone do so much better and win money for their efforts...

You know what fucks over the night? (grinds the gears too)

People who decide "Hey, I wanna play a game that could potentially take an HOUR of my time, then leave 15 minutes in because I didn't have the time to spend".

I assume the same applies to Dota and LoL. Smite games tend to last 20-30 minutes MINIMUM. Longest game I've had was 96 minutes. So, if you don't HAVE the time to spend, please don't jump onto Smite.

The Derps have defined this action as "pulling a Bender". As he does this all the time.

Know what grinds my gears?

People Who Capitalize Every Word In A Sentence. Why The Hell Do They Do It? Do You Know How Time Consuming It Is? And It Does Make It Harder To Read The Sentence.

Whatever it is inside me that makes me cringe at my hard drive space being below a certain point. I clearly remember not wanting it to go below 300gb long ago, then it turned into 250. Now if it goes below 200gb, I HAVE to delete stuff. Usually when it goes below that, that means I've recorded stuff. Otherwise, I go on a hunt to find things to delete.

Same goes for my external. I hate it going below 100gb. Had to delete a bunch of movies that I haven't watched just to see it go up a few gigs...

Also, to answer you Lonesome, some people do it just to annoy people like you. =P

you know what really grinds my gears?

Do you have any idea how awkward sentences with incorrect grammar are to read? It's like walking in the park, and suddenly face-planting a brick wall that appears in front of you.

Grinds my gears even more when they make responses like yours. when I point it out, I'm not trying to be elitist. I just want people to stop using ignorance/unwillingness to learn as an excuse for poor grammar. Mistakes happen, but don't call people assholes for trying to teach you the correct way to do something. If the mistake keeps happening to the point where you get annoyed by being corrected, then the source of the problem can be found in a mirror and not in the person correcting you. :p

You know what grinds my gears even more? Vintage replying to my post :3 :p

but no the way i type mostly is because in order to use capital letters and proper punctuation i actually have to stop and think about it as to me it does not come naturally to use it as for me its already hard enough as it is to type without spelling errors due to my dyslexia and autism but hey who am i to whine atleast i can still type english even if its not with capital letters and punctuation on the fly like everyone else ;)

If you can't take the time to type everything out, followed by reading through what you have written, in order to make adjustments to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization, then you do not have the right to feel angry about being corrected. I honestly don't care what ailment you'd like to blame it on, it *CAN* be corrected, and by refusing spending a few minutes correcting it, and using psychological issues as a crutch, you make yourself appear less intelligent. Making corrections on the fly can be difficult for some people, I understand, and I know English isn't your first language; But you have a firm enough grasp of it to see your mistakes and you have the ability to correct them before hitting the "Post Reply" button. Failure to do so is laziness. If you know you're doing it and do not correct the behavior, then you forfeit your right to be insulted by others correcting you, and you forfeit your right of rebuttal. On the other hand, acknowledging the issue, and taking proper steps to correct it, such as spending 2 minutes going back over what you've typed, and making an attempt at corrections, shows that you are working on and trying to correct your issues, and can (and will) make it come to you more easily as time goes on. Before you know it, you will not notice quite as many errors in the initial typing, as your brain will auto-correct them as you go.

Also, what did Nintendo do THIS time?

Know what grinds my gears? Really grinds my gears more than I ever thought it would?

When you have every intention in the world to help someone you love...who desperately needs your help, and they block you out and put up walls because they feel that they need to protect you. I'm fucking losing sleep over this.

BTW, my posts are rarely ever something I'm happy with first time around. Some of my longer ones I have spent an hour on just getting the phrasing how I want it. I tend to be a "call it as I see it" person, and often people read into my posts too much, so I want to make sure it is hard to misinterpret. So I don't just shart out a perfect post every time either. ;)

You know what really grinds my gears? People who don't utilize the PM function of the forum for personal discussions :p
