I have placed 3 quarries in approximately the same spot. Each time I do, it starts, and about 5 seconds later the whole damn machine just *poof* vanishes. No explosion, just....gone.

Anyone else having this problem?

are they connected in some way?

Vintage: The quarries weren't up at the same time. When the first one got griefed via creeper, I made another and set it in the same spot. *Poof* So I got pissed and simply gave myself another because I presumed it was a game glitch. It started to run, then *poof* again. I logged out.

Sounds like the first one didn't get creepered, then.

Looking at the FTB wiki, it mentions using only TWO stirling engines on a quarry, I suspect the reason may be that
It [stirling engines] will eventually explode if it is producing more power than is being extracted from it.

Also, while I don't think you're doing this, I'll note it for the DERP factor anyway:
f you place the quarry incorrectly (on the red beam) then as soon as the quarry is powered and begins to clear the area (prior to building the frame) it will be deleted and lost.

First one definitely blew up(see the crater lol)

I will try reducing the engines to only 2, but this isn't the first time I've used 3...

Holy derpballs...I feel bad for the derp that does THAT :p

you might want to just upgrade to the electric engines to test this out. If I remember correctly, the electric engines just overheat and shut down if their energy isn't fully used. Might be worth testing out to see if it gives you different results.

Lava, check the space-time continuum near your quarries for quantum flux. Apparently levels of fux over 1.21gigawatts (THATS LUDICROUS!) will interefere with a quarries internal plum-bob-quantum-dimensional-interface which causes minute vibrations at the coxial cable tv line, eventually loosening the screws which hold the 57" 240hz LED HD PPT TV to the wall, causing it to fall.
The 'little people' (lets be PC here) who operate the quarry then go on immediate strike due to the lack of Columbo reruns on said 57" TV. As a result of leaving in such haste, the designated operator of the trans dimensional multiverse hypersonic toaster oven forgets to press the "off" button, something routine that gets overlooked in the rage and anger caused by a lack of Columbo... The end result, your quarry burning in a quantum-trans dimensional-multiorbital-plasma-toaster-oven rift (or "fire").
Catastrophic consequences that can be fixed by clear the clothes dryer exhaust of lint... How far we've come, and how little we've learned.

TLDR: Pay your cable bill. Clean your dryer exhaust. Also, wtf?
