Gifts To Yourself

Have you ever bought yourself a gift for christmas or your birthday? I'll admit I purchases a rifle as an early birthday gift to myself, and I just bought a Ruger P95 as a christmas gift. and for my 20th I bought my Canon Rebel.

Yeah, pretty normal for me actually. I do not really celebrate birthdays and do not really have much family for Christmas anymore so I will often get myself something with that in mind. My birthday treat is usually a very expensive dinner and Christmas is just something fun, but more expensive than I would usually spend (a $100+ Lego set for instance).

I usually use my tax return as a gift for myself. I don't claim any reductions on my taxes, so my tax returns are usually pretty nice (on purpose). Its not quite a Christmas gift to myself, but close enough. Two years ago I bought myself a TV because I kicked my roommate out and he had the only TV over 13 inches. I spent 3 months watching TV and news on a 13" Sylvania television from 1992 haha. Little bastard still works too, they made a badass TV set.

I think this year I'm looking at a 20" TV for my bedroom with my tax return. I usually go to sleep watching netflix on my laptop, but if I had a good TV capable of the cable I already pay for in my room I would lay down at a more decent time (9-10pm) and watch the news and maybe a little Conann before I fell asleep instead of watching them in the living room and THEN heading to bed and watching 3-4 episodes of Star Trek because Im still wide awake.

I usually try to save the vast majority of my tax return, but what fun is life if you don't spend a little bit to better your everyday life? =)

technically i buy my own presents or at least it's my money that buys my presents LOL. My wife is a stay at home Mom so the presents she buys me are from my money.

Wait does it have to be a big gift because I bought a Wii U for my Family *though no big surprise I use it most* so it's like a gift to myself. -.-
For this Christmas.

Does not count, as you are married, you have no money that is your own it is a shared pot. :p Iceh, I would count that, and say "It's mine, but I let others use it."

The most expensive bottle of rum they had at the liquor store.
Far Cry 3
Hitman Absolution
That's it so far this year.
