Seems their adopting the rotating flash deals again, this time with 3 changing every 16 hours and 3 every 10 hours. This is in addition to 9 daily deals, as well as an indie game spotlight(although those might be constant discounts).

Make sure if there is something on sale for the full run of the sale that you want, you wait until the last day to get it in case it is part of the daily extra discounts. So many of my friends have gotten burned buying something they wanted, only to have it go on a deeper discount a day or two later.
