Pokemon X and Y Discussion thread.

So since it's release time, it's time for a proper X and Y Discussion thread.
First off let's list our starters: Now initially, you can only choose of the three new ones

I chose Froakie(i've always enjoyed water starters)

Now after your first gym, you get the exp share. There has been a major change to it though, the EXP share is no longer a held item, it's now a key item and an on/off type of item, and exp is shared with all of the pokemon in your party.

I'm still wondering what egg group Froakie is. I know it does not share one with squirt, I just attempted that.

I chose Fennekin, because he is the only decent looking starter.

Kinda liking Exp Share as of right now, it's very nice. Hopefully this means no more grinding sessions.

Egg group? No idea what that is.

The good so far:

Exp share is cool
The music is AWESOME
It's so cool seeing these new pokemon, I've stayed clear of most spoilers


The bad:
Using the roller blades is a bit wonky at first, hard to get into some places when gliding around.

So...just ran into one of those multiple pokemon run ins. 4 Zangoose and a Seviper. the Zangoose killed the Seviper!

Heading to bed, I am sitting on:

8 1/2 hours of game time. 48 captured pokemon (been trying to capture all that I don't have, only missed a few). 2 badges.

Nice.Oh by the way, did you get your event Torchic? I know I got mine. 14 hours in, I have seen 79 pokemon, but only captures, or evolved, 21 of them, with my Event Torchic, at lvl 30. so close to Blaziken for Mega Blaziken. And Have 2 badges.

Also at the time of this edite, I just ran into a horde of 5 mime jrs.
