Free FPS: Warsow - Anyone played it?

Has anyone played this game? I've been missing the old-school action and speed of a quake-like FPS. Sorry kids, TF2 is a *slow* FPS. The UT servers have been dead, and I can't get enough of you guys to install it to get a decent game going. Quake Live is has an extremely clumsy UI and is hard to navigate, and locks out the best maps for "premium" subscriptions.

This game is cell shaded, looks gorgeous, and is fast as everliving crap. I'm thinking we're probably going to roll out a server for it if we have some interest. What with it being free and all, I don't know why you guys wouldn't line up to get fragged.

Because then we can do fun stuff and mods? Plus if we have our own server it guarantees we have a place to play...

Just looking at a brief overview of all the members online ATM the majority of the games they are playing are TF2, Garry's Mod, L4D2, Dota 2. I wish there was an easier way then just looking at the members but yeah we have the servers that apparently the members are interested in

Loadout is a 3rd-person, medium-to-slow paced game. I suggested Warsow because I'm finding all of the modern shooters, including the ones we have servers for, to be too slow. I tried to remedy it with UT2K4 and UT99, but not enough people have those games to make it worth keeping the servers up, and Epic still wants $10/ea for 15 and 10 year old games. I'm not even going to ask people to pay $10 for them because I think that's way too much. This is a good happy place. It's a *FIRST* person shooter (I've never been able to stand 3rd person games for long, I just don't like it), is much faster paced than TF2, has all the feel of the old Quake/UT games, is free as in 100% free, not pay-to-win, and is cell shaded so should run well on everyone's computers.

Still looks slow. Nothing is fast until you play Tribes. But this looks very similar with the way you "rocket jump" like you did in Tribes. I'll try it.

How do you start the game? It just takes me to a screen talking about tournaments.
