Already called mine up and no sale on Wii U. Disappointing but oh well. Worth checking out.

I think it's fake. Consoles don't make much profit. Why would Sam's spend $200+ on a system to sell it for $300, then sell it for a $50+ loss?

He said they are selling it cheap, but he offered no proof or sources the same source you did.. Him saying they are selling it for $60-$150 is not proof. He is doing what all the major "news" outlets do. Instead of doing their journalistic research and reporting the final outcome, they "report" their journalistic research as news.

That picture on the stie you posted is the only receipt I've seen anywhere.

They sell it because it is dead inventory.... if it doesn't sell they don't want to have to inventory them again. Better sell them all now at a discount rather than have them for the next few years.

They could just not order anymore. I doubt they had huge stocks. I'm thinking this might have been a local store's sale to get rid of the last few they had, but people are eating it up like it's Sam's Club wide. Every thread I've read on this is a bunch of people reporting their local Sam's is out of stock or still regular price. So far this is the only receipt I've seen around this price and it is copied in all the threads I've seen.

Just googling it, everyone is saying the same thing. So...yeah. I was tempted to drive to mine just to check because calling them up seems useless half the time. Guy I talked to gave me a no right away without any checking.

That article links back to the same image and article you posted. So far every site that has claimed Wii U's for $60 has sourced the exact SAME picture you have. So 10 different sites sourcing the same unreliable picture that could easily be photoshopped or a manager's local crazy sale does not give proof that Sam's Clubs are selling Wii U's for as low as $60. It's probably a 1 or 2 store isolated event from the whole U.S.

And maybe the guy you talked to does know. At my store every day I get asked over and over for these things:

Xbox One
iPad Air 16 GB wifi only
iPad Air 16 GB Verizon cellular service
iPad mini 16 GB 1st generation
iPad 2
GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition

I literally get asked every day about 20 times a day. And when customers don't believe me, they say "You didn't even check. How do you know?" And I tell them "Sir/ma'am, you are about the 20th person to ask me for that today. I've already checked."

I'd say proof is the fact that everyone is talking about how it's very limited places doing this, and most are sold out at this point. Doesn't matter if you believe me or not on this, I was just tossing out a possible easy sale.

Mario kart is fun but not a console seller for me. I hate it's rubber banding mechanic with a passion. Mt he only mode I like is the balloon battle.
