I'm actually all for them using some cool stuff from Christianity. I'd rather see Archangels though, since they wield awesome power. But daaaamn, never thought about Moses and the Plagues. That would be EPIC.
Sadly, HiRez wants to avoid any bullshit they'd get from pretty much every single Christian/Catholic/Jew out there and just stay away from the major stuff. I say fuck that, put stuff in.

That's what i'm saying, they can't tell the hindu's what their doing with their gods is cool, but doing the same to christianity/judaism is crossing a line. In effect they are saying that hindu isn't a real religion. Btw are any off the other religions mentioned in the game still practiced? As a Swede i can say we do not worship Odin and Frigga anymore, and the Thor movies are awesome.

They aren't saying at all that it isn't a real religion. Remember, every single one of these gods was thought of as real and worshipped at some point in time. It's simply the battleground of the gods. Here's a quote from Todd Harris.

Ah, that was always my take on why they weren't doing it. I constantly heard on the old forums that HiRez wasn't making any more Hindu gods because of how a small sect of Hindus got all pissy, and people usually said that's why they are not doing Christianity/Judaism stuff at all. The "real" reason obviously does fit better, even though I feel like they also want to avoid a bigger clash.
If you haven't read up on it at all, it wasn't a huge group that got mad about Kali and Agni. Just a small group in the US. But I can imagine a larger amount of people being upset if Jesus/Yahweh/Moses or any other big figure was featured in the game.
