D&D... what say ye?

OK, the following updates to my character:

Alignment: chaotic good

Equipment:
Standard starting package except swapping studded armour for light leather armour in character sheet (so no AC penalty).

Weapons are now longsword, shortsword (off hand) and longbow.

Backpack with waterskin, 1 day's rations, bedroll, sack, flint and steel, 3 torches, and quiver with 20 arrows.

Buying additional: fishhook (1 sp), 4 pitons (4 sp), 5 candles (5 cp), shovel (2gp)

4GP + 15GP for armour price difference, - extra purchases=16gp 4sp 5cp

So for this next weekend I will be gone in California for my cousin's wedding. If you guys don't mind, could we postpone it until the following Weekend? April 20th?

Since this is just a side story do we want to find a ringer to finish it with your character? Then when you come back we'll be back to the main story.

Heh, the weekend of the 20th I'll be in Ohio for MY cousin's wedding. womp womp.

So.. Suggestions? Do we want to postpone for 2 weeks? Do you want to just continue with someone else playing my character?

One thing I have seen in the past if the majority is around for the game still, the character is usually played by the dm, but personality/such are not done, only the basics. Does this work for everyone or do we want to do that postponing?

I'd say it should be the call of the ones absent, since they'll be missing the story and such if the DM plays them as aiding NPCs during the adventure.

I mean... I would like to wait and play but i would understand if you guys wanted to go ahead. We c an break for 2 weekends and then come back after reeeeeeeechard is back from his shindig :)

Gah, we're all too damn agnostic :p

Considering you guys want to play and continue the story with us... SoL, any comment? I'm guessing the 'Agree' ratings on my post above means that Arron and Stat are cool with a break.

Given that @English would like to play his character/the story, we're looking at a break next week (Whoo, Carcassonne!). @Reechard, what are your wishes?

Okay, since we're taking a break and playing some Carcassonne tonight, (and some folks have a scrim at 9EST) the following is preparation information for folks:

Things will start at 7 EST. Two hours should let us get in 1 or two good games, esp. if we use the first as a derpy round to help people learn how to play.

1. Make sure you have JCloisterZone installed. It is the client we will be using to play :)

2. If you wish to read the rules in advance or have them on hand during the game: http://www.sciencegames.com/carcassonne/
There are many expansions available but we'll be playing with the base game at least for the first round. That rules page is interactive so if you hit the 'settings' bar you can expand it and tick different expansions (and 'use colours') to see what impact they have.

If we have time for more than one game we may add in some of the simpler ones that don't add overly complex new mechanics to the game. (e.g. The River, Inns & Cathedrals)

The only thing that's not mentioned is a rule regarding scoring of cities, normally they are 2 points per tile; however I enjoy playing with 2-tile cities only scoring 2 points (instead of 4) because it encourages the construction of larger cities and makes small cities less of a point-farm.

Also... I don't have a decent microphone today so I will be in mumble but I probably won't be able to speak.

There's room for up to 6 players. Since we'll be sans English with our regular D&D crowd we'll have room for 1 more if someone else would like to participate.
