So last Friday Statboy brought up a what I thought was a really great idea, a weekly pre-scheduled and reoccurring event on Vault 404. Now that I'm out of school for the summer I've had a chance and Frosty's post with some map suggestions promoted me to add and remove a few maps to and from out current map rotation.
Anyway, I was hoping we could start putting this plan into action ASAP and scheduling an event every Friday night for a few hours on Vault 404. What I'd like to know from every one first is what time we'd all like the event to start so we can have as many admins and regular faces participate as possible. I was thinking either 7 or 8pm eastern for starters but I need your input on what would work best for you. Vintage suggested that we pick a time that facilitates a sort of shift system where after an hour if the admins who were originally on to fill up the server could take a break if they wanted as other admins logged on an could take their places so we could keep people on the server.
I've always felt that the best servers are the ones with personality and fun in game conversation going on, to that effect I'd like to ask you all a favor. For the first few weeks lets try and stay out of mumble during the event time and talk exclusively in game to try and generate some conversation and attract some regulars. You guys are always cracking jokes and that's what I loved about VF4 servers when I first discovered them, but now that most of our regular players/admins hang out in mumble no one talks in server anymore. This isn't gunna be anyhting permanent in a few weeks we can move back to mumble and hopefully bring some new faces with us but to start I'd really like to make an effort to talk in game for the first few weeks.
On another note, here is the current map rotation, I'd appreciate any thoughts on additions or revisions to the rotation. As you may notice it's a little payload heavy at the moment and hey maybe thats a good thing but if you feel otherwise maybe consider over the next few days which maps are your favorite and we can cut a few of the less stellar playload maps.
