Hi folks!

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and spending time with their families.

A small content update for everyone in the spirit of the season - one of our staff members has put in some work to curate a selection of winter-themed maps for TF2Classic, which will be available for your enjoyment on our Custom Maps offering shortly once they finish deploying.

You'll be able to choose from the following:

I'll ask our staff member that made them compatible with TF2C.

Sorry if that's a licensing oversight, we'll remove it if that's the case.
 
Who gave you permission to edit gump?
Sorry about that, it's been removed from the mapcycle. I'd incorrectly assumed permissions were all taken care of when I was given the map pack for deployment but that was not the case.

We'll be reviewing the other winter maps soon and removing any others that were edited without permission.
 
Thanks again for bringing this to my attention. We've reviewed the other custom maps and have temporarily removed several others that may be similarly affected while we implement a workaround that is compliant with the rules. We expect these changes to appear incrementally over the next little while.

By way of explanation, in most cases there are no actual changes to the map itself and the only adjustment was missing textures which are present by default in TF2 but not in TF2Classic. Obviously people will have differing viewpoints on whether that constitutes actually changing the map or not, but in order to ensure we do not upset anyone, we will be taking the conservative approach and re-configuring our setup such that the map files can be used as-is.

I apologize again for the oversight on my part.
