[Minecraft] Why Tekkit?

just figured id ask why as yes i know its easy for people to connect but there are so many more bugs *cough* world anchor *cough* for starters or 1 of many dozen item duplication bugs introduced due to the team behind tekkit changing the mods themselves :/ so why not run a server with mods and plugins that has way less bugs and more content? plus if the argument is "but its easy for people to use" well have no fear multimc and ftb are here as you make a mod pack and both launchers can use it

plus who would not want to go on a 40 hour crafting spree to make an end gear set of uberness due to an addon to ic2 for example? or setup a lag free auto sorting/crafting factory complete with shop/request any item you can make option?

with the last being what i did on a other server that so long as the materials are there the factory can produce almost anything and all it took was 18 mods working together bug free :3 :p

but seriously tho why tekkit?

I can't explain why tekkit was chosen, but the reason it is still here is because people have logged a lot of hours in it- and why make them start over? If we start having major issues with tekkit that would be re-evaluated, but given that it's working for us, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

well im just wondering if you look at the broken items and such and the bugs i know off in 1.2.5's tekkit and i wonder if it would not be easier to say grab the normal mods and make a modpack file itself and use that with the same config

that way none of the work is gone yet most of the bugs introduced by tekkit are gone so was just wondering :)

I play a lot. and the only bug that comes to mind is how much power can go through certain pipes isn't correct with what the wiki says. but otherwise its functional.
