You weren't banned, you were vote kicked. I don't see anything obvious in the chat logs why.

Can you provide some context for the situation? If it turns out people are abusing vote kick then I will do something about that.

I can't really give any context. I was playing Sniper and when I had a nice killstreak I got vote kicked. And when I was kicked it said: You were banned from the server. And when I tried joining the server a few minutes later, I was still banned, so I thought I was permanently banned. I also didn't really look at the chat because I was concentrating on playing the game. Im sorry for stating in the thread that I was permanently banned.

Yeah, we've seen this before, for some reason the votekick gives the impression that it was a ban, but it is not logged in our actual ban system.

Maybe the game is using the wrong string.

OK, I just want to follow up since I heard back from the devs, apparently a votekick will result in a temporary ban to avoid hackers getting kicked and then immediately rejoining.

Sorry for the confusion.
