Help With Domain Redirect

Ghost

Not a Noob
Here's what I'm trying to do.

I have a domain name through bluehost. I bought a server, then canceled hosting and ended with just the domain name.

I'm trying to get it to point to my example.dyndns-free.com address (i.e. my home server).

Since I don't have hosting on bluehost anymore all I can do is either transfer the domain($), or change the nameservers (no convenient redirect tools anymore).

I've been trying to read up on it, but I feel a little overwhelmed trying to figure out how to do it for free.

I know it has something to do with changing the nameserver registered to my bluehost domain name to a free DNS host, and setting up a CNAME somehow. I've been poking around on zoneedit's website but i couldn't figure it out.

Anyone with more webhosting experience might be able to help?

Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if bluehost allows this but yes you need to register nameservers and point those new nameservers to your Ip address or whatever Ip address.

This is really easy to do at godaddy, and you can host all of your DNS at godaddy as well. I would suggest trying to transfer your domain to godaddy. After that its realllllly easy.
