In the Event of Party Wipe

There is a non zero chance that the fight we left off with sees most of, if not all of, your characters dead. So before we have two people go through and make new characters for next week, I thought it would be worth having the discussion of what you guys want to do game wise if you all die. Of course keep in mind that the fight isn't over. There is still a good possibility for the remaining people to survive.

Really it's up to you guys as the group and what you want to do. Some initial possibilities come to mind (feel free to suggest):

• Rerolling characters and continuing from after Amaretos
• Changing games/adventures

What would your preference be @LJ? Are you enjoying the adventure path and want to continue it or would you prefer to try a new one? I'm down to go wherever from here

Tar-Bathon wins the world is destroyed is an acceptable outcome. Would it be difficult to write a whole new party into the story? I'm good to finish the books with a new party too.

I would offer, in the event of a party wipe and the rest of the class wants a new campaign. I do have the first book of Ruins of Azlant still prepped, and would be willing to run it.

There would definitely be some things to be rewritten as the the plot is relatively tied to how the OG characters are altered compared to normal people from the original events. I wouldn't call it difficult though. Alternatively we could just say it's an alternate timeline and pretend nothing happened.

I'm good to finish the rest of the campaign, but will probably cut some of the 5th book, as it seems kinda lame out of flavor with the other books. That said if we wanted to do something else, I'd be open to home brewing. I don't think I would run another P1 AP right away.

I'd also be open to playing this.

EDIT: Also there's definitely no need for us to have a consensus right away, I just wanted to get people thinking. For Monday we will finish the fight one way or the other. If the party survives we will probably stop after the fight to go over things for any new characters that may be required.

1. Homebrew
2. Azlanti
3. Continue Tyrants Grasp w/New or Mostly New Party
4. Other AP/Game

I am in accordance with this.

No specific preference from me, we have a good group so it'll be fun whatever we end up doing.

I'd be down to try Dungeon Crawl Classics. I've been wanting to for a hot minute and it's an awesome system.

Id personally pass on DCC; I wouldn't mind doing a one-off on it (which I've done in the past with LJ) but I don't know that I'd personally like to do a full campaign on it based on my limited experience
