[Minecraft] Can I get banned for using XRAY in Multiplayer?

Hello guys. So I've been playing for a while this perfect game on singleplayer and recently I move out to the multiplayer to play the game with my friends, we are all having a good time. However, It is so hard to find out diamonds and stuff like that in the game, so I was googling on how to find it really fast and found out that there is this texture pack https://texturespack.com/xray-ultimate-resource-pack/ so I tried it on singleplayer and it worked perfectly! So i told my friends that I will use it on the multiplayer world to find the diamonds easier but one of them told me not to use it because I can get banned. Is it true? Can I really get banned for this? Thank you for responding.

We do not currently operate any Minecraft servers, but generally speaking this confers an unfair advantage to the player, and so yes, many server operators would consider it a ban-worthy offense. You should confirm with the owner of the server(s) you intend to use it on as it depends on the policies and rules they have established.
