Elite: Dangerous, anyone into it?

Hey guys! Long time no see.

I've been wanting to get back here again now that my life is a little more stable but I want to actually have a reason to and some games to play with people. I pre-ordered Eliteangerous over a month ago and I'm seriously looking forward to it and would love to find some people to play it with.

Is anyone here either in the beta or intending to play it? It's gonna be hard to mine asteroids without someone watching your back for pirates.

Star Citizen is over a year away. Elite is this December. You are allowed to play both.

From their website, seems a lot like EVE online. I wonder how they plan on separating themselves. Looks interesting though.

Really you guys haven't seen anything of it? It's way more than Eve Online. Like the difference between runescape and Guild Wars 2. You're actually flying the ships for one.

Beta has been out for a bit, but is pricey and just about to end now. The game comes out mid December.
