I thought this was a great feel good story to read about that happened during a horrible tragic event that was WWII. It is about a B-17 bomber that was extremely crippled limping back to its base and a German Fighter Pilot who could have put it out of its misery but decided to escort the USA Bomber over the Sea so German artillery wouldn't destroy it. If anyone is in the mood for a feel good story, read this one http://www.cnn.com/2013/03/09/living/higher-call-military-chivalry/index.html?hpt=hp_c1
Very feel good indeed. War is often initiated by high ranking political figures who never go into combat and instead send young men to do their bidding. They are the ones who have to deal with the aftermath. It's always nice to see people acting like humans instead of animals.
