For the first time in Humble Bundle history the games featured are not indie, but rather from a major publisher! Fret not though, as it still follows the tried and true format of pay what you want for the majority of games, and beat the average for a bonus! Games featured: Darksiders Metro 2033 Red Faction: Armageddon Company of Heroes Series and beat the average for Saints Row the Third! http://www.humblebundle.com/
You've beat me to it good sir. DAT BUNDLE! I already own metro and CoH. Still worth $6 for Darksiders, saints row, and RF:A
Too bad I already own Metro, Saints, Darksiders and the original CoH. Also, that Red Faction sucked. Solid deal though. I actually like a lot of the games THQ put out and will be sad if/when they go under.
Damn it just spent money on steam stales, cant bring myself to justify another purchase. Solid bundle it seems.
Not sure why everyone is so down on Red Faction: Armageddon. Sure, it was a step back from Guerilla's open world, but if you went into it looking for a decent 3rd person shooter and ignored the fact it was called "Red Faction", I don't think there would be this much semi-unwarranted hatred.
I need $1.00 for the first 6 games (I already have SR3). I only have $0.96 on my prepaid visa. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Never played the game myself, but putting a brand's name in the title gets people to think it is on par with that series. What if every shitty racing game made from now on was called "Mario Kart Most Wanted" and you were told to ignore the fact that it had "Mario Kart" in the name? You'd be mad if you got the game, ready to play as Yoshi and get some bananas and green shells only to find out it was a farm tractor simulator. Sure it would be great if you played it as a decent farm tractor simulator, but what about all the people who bought it for the 20 years of Mario Kart branding they were used to?
Let's not pretend that anything else in the series besides Guerilla was anything particularly special. The gameplay was relatively generic and the story has been done a million times, but that's not to say it's a BAD game. That's my main point.
To those hating because this bundle is neither humble, indie, Mac/Linux, DRM-free, or absolute pay what you want...here is a founders reply to ArsTechnica:
Aaaaaannnnddddd awesome. They added Titan Quest and RF:A Path to War DLC for people who beat the average. If you already purchased and beat the average, they will be waiting for you on your download page.
buuuuuuuuuuuuuump ok, so today they added Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War GotY edition to the bundle if you pay more than the average. NOW shit just got real. There's only 2 days left to pick this one up.
Wasn't going to even bother with this...but fuuuuuck. Warhammer 40k, Saints Row AND Titans Quest for less than $60? I feel like I'm robbing them.
