I'm trying to run an Android emulator. Tried 1 (don't remember it's name, think it was Blue stacks?) but it only works with Intel based processors. I have AMD. I tried Genymotion, but it uses virtual box and I can't figure the thing out. The last one I tried is Andyroid, but it will not load the app I want. It just hangs in a black screen.

Where can I get a VM? My quick googling said that a VM will use your computers processor, and if you want to emulate another processor you'll have to get an emulator, not a VM. I'm lost.

what's the app you're trying to run? Android is an OS that will run on any architecture, so if you're trying to run an ARM-based app (cell phones have ARM processors in them, which use a different command set from Intel/AMD (or "x86" processors), so a *VM* just runs the x86 version of android on top of your Windows install, and uses the x86 command structure on your x86 CPU, where an *emulator* will convert the ARM command set over to your Intel (Like when you run an SNES emulator, it emulates the 5A22 processor. You don't have an actual 5A22 to do 5A22 stuff, but you create one in software/RAM).

Hope this clears things up a LITTLE. It's 4:30AM and I just had an emergency call at work, saw this, and went HEY I KNOW THAT

I'm trying to run Hearthstone. I tried AmiDuos, it said my AMD is not supported. Tried Andyroid, the game launches then just hangs at a black screen. I know the app works, others have confirmed they also used Andyroid. I've tried changing the RAM and CPU cores in the Andyroid tool and it does nothing. I think maybe it's not compatible

Why are you trying to run Hearthstone via android on a computer that can run Hearthstone without android?

    1) There's a promo right now. Play 1 game on an Android tablet and get a free pack of cards.

    2) Amazon coins allow for cheaper packs. Buying Amazon coins gets you a discount, up to 10%. Then using those coins to buy packs gets you 10% of your purchase back as more coins. So for $90 you could get 70 packs through the PC client, but through the Amazon store you'd get 87 packs for the same price. This promo only works if you download Hearthstone through the Amazon app store, which is only on Android. This promo might not sound like much, but in December they had a promo for 50% back in rewards. So for $90 you could get 105 packs vs people getting 70 packs on the PC client. I am trying to figure this out now for any future sales.

no I wouldn't call this gaming the system... This is like taking some insane price for something online and getting Best Buy or Walmart to price match it. Are you really "gaming the system" or are you just using someone's policies, as they were designed, to your own advantage? I mean... we're talking about spending $90 for digital cards in a digital game. I know I've had walmart price match stuff for me to ridiculous levels before without thinking it was "unfair".

Exactly. Gaming the system would be like creating your own 3rd party store on Amazon, listing a PS4 for $100, then getting a dumb Walmart employee to price match it then going home and cancelling your listing. I'm just trying to find a way to access the same deal everyone else has available.

Gaming the system is like what i used to do with walmart, i'd buy a console game new for $60, play it and beat it in 2 weeks, go back to walmart say it's defective and exchange it for a new wrapped one, which I would return as a new game to a different walmart and get my $60 back. Genius really when you think about it.

You know walmart keeps track of returns without receipts. Unless they let you keep your original receipt without marking that you "exchanged" it. Also my little tiny store did keep track of peoples returns and the computer system would flag suspicious returns for Loss Prevention to look deeper into. My company only has stores on military bases. I'm sure Walmart's systems do the same thing being an international company. You're probably on someone's shit list somewhere.

Walmart does let you keep your receipt, they do mark that you exchanged it on the receipt, they even have an error message pop up that the customer service person has to call a manager to handle. They still always gave me my money back, even though Walmart clearly had a system in place to prevent it. They always thought the error message was wrong, because they would look at it and see it's still in the wrapper.

I can't say I've never done similar things to WalMart that I'm not willing to divulge here because I don't know the statute of limitations on it.
