The thing about world war Z was that the massive undead unit was an ever coming and all consuming force. It loomed, it didn't charge.
I'm loving those fast digital zombies. Slow, real Walking Dead-style zombies are awesome, but I like the new things that fast digital zombies can bring to the table. Now zombies are just a wave of bodies spilling through the streets. And that scene at the end where they are piling on top of each other was insane. This looks like it'll be a Brad Pitt-fest, but it might be decent.
I still think slow zombies can be terrifying if not more so given the head shot only rules usually associated with them. This video was someone's interpretation of the Battle of Yonkers where the US Military tries to contain the zombie horde coming out of New York City, over a million strong. Listen to it and tell me you don't get a chill hearing the mass of guns being slowly drowned out. Here's the book segment voiced by Mark Hamill
Yeah, I think both are great. There are advantages to both styles and I'm glad to see both advantages being exploited in World War Z and Walking Dead.
