Have there been any plans to make a VF4 idle server? Or am I just missing something obvious? Anyway, if there will be a idle server, I love acheivement_awesomebox9 with low gravity.
Not at the current time. We don't have the resources available on our gameserver box to run another TF2 server. That said, it's something we are certainly willing to revisit at a time when we have enough supporter income to support the purchase of a second gameserver, and if there's enough demand for an idle server.
Never understood the purpose of idle servers. Create a local game against bots does the same thing, and you don't have to worry about server restarts or getting kicked for reserved slots.
Perhaps I'm mistaken but bots don't increase your strange count... so they're not so much "idle" servers as farm/cheevies servers?
Ah yes that makes sense. Unfortunately like 99% of idle servers have a huge wall between Red and Blu so you can't kill each other.
