[Open] Comm banned PERM for saying "Dude XD"

Let me start by saying this. Looking back at the chat logs I can clearly see how what I said could have been taken as a insult to the person who chatted before me. They had just described themselves as being "an ugly boy who turned into a girl". Immediately after, someone in voice-chat suggested that what they said was transphobic. I disagreed and reacted to what the voice chatter said by saying "ok dude XD", and "hear what that guy just said?". The admin (NovaCancy) must've either had his voice chat off or just straight up assumed I was mocking the trans girl by ignoring what they were clearly identified as. Pulling up the demo or whatever you guys could use from 4 days ago would quickly prove me innocent as it would show that I typed to respond right after the voice chatter spoke and not after the first chat message. The person I was defending was named "moushlia", and the voice chatter that I responded to was "rot-ta ". I even have screenshots of the chats and what happened after. Rot-ta as seen in the last screenshot was still calling moushlia transphobic here after he voice-chatted about it. Again this was a huge misunderstanding as I never meant to insult anyone with what I said and I apologize. I hope this clears this up.

Thanks for your patience. The response from our review of your ban appeal is below:

After discussion with the rest of the moderation team and one of our community managers, we have elected to deny your ban appeal. While it is plausible that you could have been replying to rot-ta in voice chat, you have had a history of similar behavior, and very frequently skirt the lines of what is and isn't allowed in our server rules. As an example, you were recently complaining about how VF4 not allowing hate speech or Nazi propaganda is censorship, and implying, if not explicitly saying, that that is a bad thing.




At the time of your current ban we reviewed your infraction history, took note of your prior 1-week comms ban, and adjusted the duration of this ban according to our standard escalation guidelines. Other problematic behavior we have noticed in the past includes:

-Usage of sprays drawn by anti-semetic conspiracy theorists
-Dehumanizing LGBTQ+ players
-Inciting conflict/drama through bringing up politics or insulting players

You've received punishments for these things before and that should be indication enough that we do not tolerate such antics in our servers.

Given the above, and that your permanent comms ban is in line with our guidelines for third offences, we will not be overturning your ban at this time. However, as is outlined in our rules, your ban will be eligible for appeal one year from the date it was issued. In this case, that would be March 9th, 2025. You are welcome to re-appeal at that time and it will be revisited then.
